Santa Has A Secret: A Speakeasy in LA & NYC (Review)
Santa’s Secret borrows some immersive elf magic and shakes & stirs with burlesque & booze

Version Reviewed: LA
Santa has a list and checks it twice, but what list would he be on?
Santa’s Secret addresses that question head-on as it takes you on a 2-hour gossip fest where you are introduced to all the skeleton’s in Santa’s closet.
The show begins when the doors open and you are invited to approach a giant, beautifully decorated Christmas Tree. The twinkling lights and festive decor are enough alone to send you into a sugar plum fever dream, but you know you’re in a true winter wonderland when the sweet tableaus come to life and the keepers of Santa’s secrets welcome you in.

As you walk along the Christmas fantasyland, you meet Santa’s Secretary (Miss Tosh), an Angel (Miss Miranda), Barbie and Ken (Brodie and Filip Lacina), the Nut Cracker (Kyle J Kier), The Frost Queen (Asia O’hara) and the local Gingerbread dealer (Chelsea Stone). Each character has a box with a ticket slot that unlocks a certain action if a ticket is presented. Not every guest is issued a ticket, so be sure to pay attention to the folks around you to see what trouble — I mean fun— these secret-keepers get into. During this walk, you are encouraged to engage and take photos and I cannot recommend that more!
Once you find your way to the North Pole, you are seated and the show begins. As the evening progresses, you are exposed to every one of Santa’s transgressions, each secret more shocking and devious than the last. If you like vocalists, drag queens, burlesque performers, aerialists, or ballroom dancers, you are in for a treat! What you eventually learn is that Santa is the KING of the naughty list, but boy does he know how to have a good time.
We had an incredible time at this show and I cannot recommend it more if you’re interested in the types of shows listed above. It’s high-energy, entertaining, and engaging. I may or may not have had one of my deepest secrets read aloud, but don’t worry, I wasn’t the only one. I was in good company. Naughty listers rejoice, I found a place for us right there at the North Pole! This show is the perfect spicy holiday date night or girl’s night out! VIP gets you much closer to the stage if you’re hoping to directly interact with any of the performers. Bottom line- would I go back? Absolutely!!
Santa’s Secret; $58–157; LA & NYC; though Dec. 31 including a special NYE event.
