Producers Guild of America Announces Innovation Award Winner (NEWSWIRE)
And the winner is…
The Producers Guild of America, as part of its annual East Coast Celebration of the 2022 PGA nominees announced the winner of the Innovation award last night.
The honor went to Apple, for their For All Mankind: Time Capsule AR experience. The full list of nominees can be found here.

THE PRODUCERS GUILD OF AMERICA ANNOUNCES WINNERS IN SPORTS, CHILDREN’S, AND SHORT FORM TELEVISION CATEGORIES, AND THE INNOVATION AWARD FOR IMMERSIVE CONTENT AT THE PRODUCERS GUILD AWARDS EAST COAST CELEBRATION
NEW YORK CITY (March 14, 2022) — The Producers Guild of America hosted its annual East Coast Celebration of the 2022 PGA nominees last night at the Bryant Park Grill Garden in New York City. The celebration marks the first in a week’s worth of bi-coastal events culminating with the PGA Awards on March 19.
This year, the Guild announced the winners of four categories from the Producers Guild Awards nominated programs. The producing team for 100 Foot Wave (Season 1) was presented with the award for Outstanding Sports Program; the producing team for Muppets Haunted Mansion (Special) was presented with the award for Outstanding Children’s Program; the producing team for Carpool Karaoke: The Series (Season 4) was presented with the award for Outstanding Short Form Program; and the team behind For All Mankind: Time Capsule was presented with the PGA Innovation Award, which celebrates outstanding entertainment endeavors across VR, AR, experiential and other emerging media.
In attendance were producing team members from nominated productions and PGA guests including: Piper Perabo, Stephen Kay and Michael Friedman (Yellowstone); Rebecca Kovacik (Belfast); Chris Licht (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert); Kaye Foley (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver); Jared Bush, Yvett Marino and Clark Spencer (Encanto), Philip Byron (Naomi Osaka); David Dinerstein and Robert Fyvolent (Summer of Soul) and more.
Sponsors of the event included Cadillac, the Official Automotive Partner, and GreenSlate.
The remaining Producers Guild Awards winners will be announced at the annual award show on Saturday, March 19th at the Fairmont Century Plaza.
