New York based Bluelaces Theater Company presents their original performance of SUDS, a theatrical production designed for audiences with autism and other developmental disabilities. SUDS takes the seemingly mundane task of going to the laundromat and transforms it into an exhilarating adventure filled with water, soap, and bubbles. You’ll even meet a dancing sweatshirt and a laundry monster (who is actually very nice)!
At SUDS, you’ll be joined on your journey by our cast of characters and Adventure Guides. Adventure Guides pair with each audience member to tailor the production to their unique needs and interests.
This show features one or more relaxed performances adapted for neurodiverse audiences, including young people with autism and other disabilities. There are no restrictions around noise or movement, audience members are welcome to leave and re-enter the theater, and adjustments are made to these productions to reduce sensory stimuli.
