Las Vegas: Area 15 Rollout Begins Sep. 17th

Long time readers of the site will recognize the name Area 15 — that’s the immersive entertainment hub in Las Vegas that will become home to Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart in 2021, and play host to both permanent and pop-up experiences and installations.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has played a role in delaying the opening, and has scaled back plans for the initial launch, the long anticipated site will open its doors to a limited number of guests starting September 17th. At launch art installations, a zipline experience, Birdly VR stations, and food & drink will be available.

Reservations, and masks, are required. Admission is free.

Learn more about Area 15 in our upcoming podcast interview this week with Area 15 co-founders Winston Fisher and Michael Beneville.

From Launch Event the Website:

Secure your (free) spot to lose yourself in the immersive art installations, find your zen in the center of a bamboo forest, ride on a comet and fly like a bird, and eat & drink like you mean it on underneath the desert skies or the glow of a digital forest.

And this is just the beginning. Over the next few months we will be unveiling a wondrous mashup of tenant experiences, events, art and entertainment. But for now, you’re invited to wonder, wander and gawk at everything that has just come alive inside — and outside — of AREA15.

Due to capacity restrictions, space is limited.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. on 9.17.20. No entries allowed before that time.

Reservation does not guarantee immediate entry.

All ages, 21+ to consume alcohol

Face masks are required for all employees and guests (it’s not political. It’s practical)

AREA15’s anchor tenant Meow Wolf will officially open in early 2021. Learn more here.
