CALL SHEET NOVEMBER 2022
Now with a new publishing schedule
Welcome to CALL SHEET, our recurring roundup of gigs, grants, deadlines, and other professional opportunities in the realms of physical and digital immersive.
This week we’re shifting the format a bit, with the CALL SHEET now being published MONTHLY and UPDATED each week as we get new listings. The CALL SHEET will stay on the front page of NoPro, and there will be fresh social media posts when it is updated. We think this will help more people discover the opportunities within.
LISTING DEADLINE: Every WEDNESDAY at 10AM Pacific Time — callsheet@noproscenium.com and/or the callsheet and jobs-board channels on our Discord. The monthly sheet UPDATES on Thursdays with the latest listings.
Note: while we are happy to receive the full text of a job listing for reference, we only publish summaries with links to full job listings/casting breakdowns. To be considered your listing must be published somewhere else online. We cannot host PDFs, and will not publish full listings so as not to be responsible for errors.
Calls for festival entries, however, are eligible for being published on our newswire. Use the callsheet email, above. (Educational workshops should follow the process for event listings at Everything Immersive.)

- Roaming troupes create opportunities for attendees to connect with each other by providing unique and unforgettable interactive moments throughout the festival grounds. Roaming troupes are typically asked to be in costume for 4 hours a day Thursday — Sunday. Break times are worked in to this schedule. This does not include makeup/costuming prep time.
- Non-music performance artists have the opportunity to perform 5–10 minute shows on stage during the changeovers of music artists on Thunder & Lightning stage. These shows can accommodate aerial and fire performance.
- Non-music performance artists have the opportunity to perform 15–60 minute shows on Unicorn Palace stage. Unicorn Palace has a “neo-vintage”, “biker burlesque”, and “circus punk” aesthetic and welcomes Drag, Burlesque, Variety, Circus, Sideshow, or Vaudeville. This stage accommodates aerial, it does not accommodate fire.

The Toronto Fringe Unconventional Venue Category is an expansion of the formerly named Site Specific Category, to acknowledge the alternative forms of performance art that seek the Fringe platform to reach audiences. This category is for companies who wish to produce a show that cannot be presented in a conventional theatre venue, and is inclusive of digital/virtual/non-physical events, as well as any accessible space within the City of Toronto. Companies exploring non-traditional audience and ticketing relationships may apply to this category; the Fringe is open to exploring if and how this festival is able to support your production and presentation format.
Applications must demonstrate that the work cannot be produced in a conventional, traditional theatre, but are uniquely tied to the space and/or presentation format. More than one application with the same venue/site will not be accepted.
