Much like a crop that grows and adapts to its environment — or a Depression-era chicken dinner tea house that evolved into one of North America’s first theme parks — immersive experiences in themed entertainment must be nurtured from initial concept into something that thrives over time.
“Cultivating Immersive Experiences” explores how ideas evolve organically, responding to changes in guest behavior, technological advancement, and cultural context. Just as nature requires flexibility and resilience to adapt to its surroundings, so too must our industry adapt to shifting market conditions, emerging technologies, and new audience expectations.
This year’s SATE invites creators, thinkers, and operators to explore the life cycle of immersive design — from inspiration to reinvention — and how experiences can grow to meet the moment while laying roots for long-term impact.
