Though NO experience is needed for some roles, other roles do require the ability to be resilient and able to adapt quickly, improvise, and remain “in-character” for extended periods of time. Founded in 2020 by Broadway Entrepreneur, Monica Hammond, Broadway Murder Mysteries has created more than 25 fun and immersive murder mystery themes for a range of ages to be played in-person or virtually.
Our games are written to be flexible and allow for 4–20 players to participate as scripted characters, plus an unlimited number of audience “detectives” who work to solve the crime. Our private murder mystery parties are booked for corporate entertainment, team building, and special occasions, for audiences of 10 to 1000!
Our Hosts work with us on a freelance basis to host murder mystery parties for our clients and ensure they have a killer time. All event and coordination details are provided upon booking, so Hosts can show up to the party ready to kick off the festivities in character as one of our Lead Detectives, or Featured Suspects. Our hosts are all highly-trained and talented immersive theater performers, so we are looking for performers with improv, hosting, or immersive theatre backgrounds.

The new Off-Center Line Producer position will help lead the next chapter of Off-Center, creating more immersive experiences for Denver, exploring new business models, and building national producing and presenting partnerships. We are seeking interdisciplinary applicants who are practicing game developers with specific expertise in game production, the business of games, game art, and games design. Applicants should have a passion for advancing the design and development of games through their teaching, mentorship, and leadership. Ideal candidates are active participants in the field with key contacts in the game industry, and experienced speakers/writers about their creative practice.
Successful candidates will teach existing courses in game art, game production, game design, the business of games, and/or game studio courses, and help our game development students to manage their projects and successfully release and promote their games to audiences outside the University. The position will also advise students and help to facilitate industry connections for them. The position offers opportunities towards curriculum development and collaboration with research faculty in games towards the creation of game development projects across art, health, AI, sustainability, aging, and other relevant domains. This position is renewable and can be taken part-time (0.33 fte, 0.5 fte, or 0.66 fte appointment) to continue the applicant’s engagement and practice in industry.

Full of diverse offerings, WOW shows have one thing in common — they are an invitation to reimagine what theatre can be through intriguing and playful experiences. For the 2024 festival, there will be access to outdoor locations and limited indoor spaces. (Due to the nature of WOW programming, we do not offer our traditional theatre spaces.)

The PXR Conference, hosted by Single Thread and Electric Company Theatre, celebrates the evolution of live performance in virtual, augmented and mixed realities. Now in its 4th year, this national event brings Canadian creators together using a social virtual reality platform to share best practices for working within these new media.
We are seeking proposals for this year’s Conference, which will include programming from November 3rd — November 19th, 2023. You can apply for one or more of the following streams:
Experience — for new, in-development and presentation-ready live performances in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality
Engage — traditional Conference presentations, turned them upside-down, inside-out, and flipped onto a VR Headset
