LONDON
Performer-Facilitator: The Shield & Torch, Multiple Roles
Alongame
Term: Four performances total, Oct 2022-Jan 2023.
Compensation: £500 total (£100 per day, with an additional £100 to cover time reading and learning show materials before the first rehearsal)
Auditions: Wednesday 7th September
Show dates: 12 Oct., 16 Nov., 14 Dec., 11 Jan.
The Shield & Torch is a show set in a fantasy tavern, combining the best elements of freeform role-playing games and interactive theatre to allow people to play out an evening as adventurers, rogues and wanderers. It will be staged at Colab Tavern in central London, for a series of one-off shows during Oct 2022-Jan 2023.
The show is ‘freeform’ in that there are no scripted moments, no timed events, no strict quest paths, and no overall group aim that everyone is guided towards. There is some content (a tavern noticeboard, fortune-telling items, etc) to provide people with prompts if needed, but largely people are free to initiate their own interactions and build their own narratives within the general umbrella of ‘adventurers in a tavern’.
