Compensation: $800 per week/ maximum of 40 hours. Rehearsals and preview performances are compensated at $700/ max 40 hours per week.

Abandoned is an immersive and highly interactive show set in a post-apocalyptic world where the audience will have a direct impact on the outcome of every show. We are looking for actors that are very comfortable with improv and preferably with past immersive theatre experience.
The cast will also be a part of the narrative team devising & creating the show. Experience with creative writing or narrative design preferred.

Beam Center is now accepting proposals for our 2023 Beam Projects cycle!
Each year, Beam Center seeks design proposals for ambitious public artworks that will be brought to life through collaborations between youth and creative big thinkers. Projects are realized by a community of more than 100 young people at each of our project sites: in New Hampshire (NH), on Governors Island (GI), and in a local NYC community. Winning proposals are selected by a committee composed of Beam Center staff, youth, past project designers, and community members.
These big projects at Beam are realized through various youth programs, including:
- Beam Camp — a month-long residential summer camp in the NH forest
- Beam Camp City — free day camp on Governors Island for NYC youth
- Project Fellows — youth training program focused on building large-scale public artworks.

2022 Peabody Awards: Interactive and Immersive Submissions
Entry Fee: $450 ($300 for first-time entrants)

The interactive and immersive cycle of the Peabody Awards honors stories in formats such as games, virtual reality, augmented reality, interactive journalism and documentary, co-creation, and social video, made widely available to the public. Interactive, immersive, and/or participatory experiences must be core to the project and essential to the storytelling
