LOS ANGELES

Immersive/Interactive Theater Performers — Adventure Camp

Event Dates: 7/20/22–11/1/22; 15–20 hours/week
Compensation: $28/hour + parking

Casting comedic immersive/interactive theater performers for family-friendly CAMP production in Century City, LA. Rehearsals begin 7/20/22 for a four month run. Pay is $28/hour. Show schedule TBD but 15–20 hrs a week with one weekend day minimum.

Adventure Camp is a whimsical theatrical treasure hunt for families and young audiences — part storytelling, part game. Performers will have scripted material as well as improvised interactions with participants.

Non-union only. Improv skills a must. Puppeteering skills a plus. Singing, guitar playing a plus.


TUSCON, AZ

Nightfall at Old Tucson — Multiple Roles

Nightfall @ Old Tucson is looking for multiple types of entertainers for this Halloween season. We are looking for Stunt Actors, Characters, and Scare Performers. Some characters and entertainment types will be well defined. Some will be built around those who are cast. If you believe you fit any of these categories, we want to hear from you. If you think you have a unique talent that might fit into a haunted western town in the late 1800’s, please come to the audition ready to show us that talent. All roles are paid, including rehearsal time.

Nightfall is back at Old Tucson for its 30th anniversary! This well-loved Halloween haunt returns every weekend this October. The residents of Nightfall come alive before your eyes in a living, breathing interactive story that unfolds everywhere you go. Will you help find the Sheriff? Can you find the secret poker game? Will you be forever lost to the monsters on your way to the church? Or will you just come for scares and great times? For the first time in its history, everything at Nightfall this year will be one story. Nightfall is the first production at Old Tucson by Rail Events Productions, Inc. after taking over the studio lease in March of this year.

The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts — Design Innovation Core (DIC), is the newest core research facility of the University of Nebraska. Through our design methodology and systems thinking approach, we use our multi-process production facilities to provide clients with end-to-end research/design/production capabilities across a range of output forms. We are uniquely positioned to serve University researchers, local start-ups, and global companies.

The Creative Producer is the founding employee of the DIC and will be responsible for building out the creative and technological team, establishing production workflows, business development, and some hands-on production work. The Creative Producer will report to the Director of the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.

Black Public Media (BPM) and the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts are offering a residency for Black filmmakers, creative technologists, and artists who need access to emerging-tech equipment, studio time, or workspace. This is an in-person residency that will take place on the campus of University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the summer of 2022 or January 2023. There is no remote or online option. On-campus lodging will be provided.

Emerging technologies include, but are not limited to, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, robotics and 3D printing. Candidates may also choose to focus on older technologies, such as projection mapping, multichannel video, VFX, or 3D animation.

The Black Creator Accelerator will provide 25 aspiring Black creators with a $10k/month stipend to pursue creative endeavors and get connected with opportunities to launch sustainable, full-fledged careers. In addition, Google Pixel, Westbrook Media, and UNCMMN will work with Snapchat to enrich the educational curriculum and create tailored workshops for participants.
