CASTING CALLS

LOS ANGELES

Brassroots District: Live in the Lot Summer ‘73
Brassroots District
Term: Contract: 4 weeks + Rehearsal
Compensation: Unlisted
Deadline: May 24

Listing Link

This experience is unlike anything Los Angeles has seen before. If you’re familiar with immersive theater, think Sleep No More meets The Donkey Show meets Tony and Tina’s Wedding. When the audience shows up to a Brassroots District experience, they are transported to the year 1973. A smokin’ funk band is on stage, while a fully produced environment unfolds throughout the venue. Here is a Deck that explains this a bit more.

The show will be taking place outdoors this Summer: July 10/11, July 17/18, July 24/25, August 7/8 (2 shows a day) in a parking lot in DTLA and will eventually move into a permanent home, indoors, at a club in LA. We will be growing this into a staple of the LA music scene and culture.
