We are looking for a stand-out candidate to join the company as Creative Director to shape our productions and events, as we engage with ambitious goals to make extraordinary live experiences, which will wow audiences in London and around the world.

In this role, you will lead in the creation of and ultimately deliver first-class productions and show plans for the Company’s slate of IP. You will assist the IP team with creative proposals when pitching to rights holders and work closely with the same in developing world class live experiences based on their brands.. You will lead creative teams, rehearsals and production sessions as required for the implementation of the direction across our broad portfolio working alongside the producers and general managers

You will work closely with our producing teams, based in Mayfair, London but be prepared to travel nationally for shows that we look to open across the UK, plus internationally as the company grows. You will be a commercially-minded strategic Creative Director and passionate about creating shows that satisfy the requirements within our license agreements. Most importantly we are looking for an individual who wants to work in an ever-evolving creative and collaborative environment and possess the tenacity to make things happen.

We are working on this first version for London — before taking the piece to other locations.

Production will begin in April 2022.

The Department of Performing Arts at Rochester Institute of Technology seeks applicants for a visiting assistant professor position in Theatre beginning August 2022. Prospective candidates are expected to have earned a terminal degree in Theatre or a related field. We seek candidates with demonstrated teaching experience and research orientations that explore intersections of theatre, performance, digital technology, game design, and related fields. Candidates should be able to teach courses in theatre as well as immersive and/or mediated theatre. Experience with extended reality and performance is desirable. Additionally, candidates should have experience creating or directing: live action, role-playing, immersive, mediated, or augmented/digital forms of performance.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant, interdisciplinary unit, whose faculty members share a strong commitment to emerging, interdisciplinary, and diverse forms of performance that blend art, design and technology. In the Department of Performing Arts at RIT, this commitment builds on expanding scholarship and coursework in the following areas: (1) new ideas of performance that reach diverse audiences and integrate global traditions and approaches, (2) working creatively at the intersection of art and technology, (3) performance and accessibility, particularly with the deaf and hard of hearing, and (4) involvement with co-curricular activities through the nationally unique Performing Arts Scholars Program. In this dynamic context, the successful candidate will be able to offer courses at all undergraduate levels and engage with students in co-curricular groups in areas such as introduction to theatre and performance, devising theatre, and virtual worlds. There will be opportunities for new course development and collaborative performance projects within and beyond the College of Liberal Arts.

Duties will focus on acting and performance for multiple platforms, including stage, virtual, and hybrid. Teaching responsibilities in area of expertise as related to current curriculum in Acting, Acting for the Camera, and Voiceover. In addition, the candidate will design and teach new courses that contribute to curriculum in arts and technology. The successful candidate will maintain a program of research/creative activity appropriate to the University of Maryland’s standing as a Research I University and will regularly disseminate the results of their investigations in appropriate national/international forums. The Maya Brin Institute faculty, in addition, build their teaching portfolios by teaching general education classes and required graduate courses as appropriate to their training and experience. TDPS faculty are required to be actively involved in School governance, the intellectual and artistic life of the School, the College of Arts and Humanities, and the University community.

Cannonball Festival presents risk-taking independent artists in back-to-back performances next to delicious lounge spaces, fostering creative collisions and community conversation.

Cannonball Festival is announcing the launch of the 2022 Artist Open Call. Running from September 1–30, 2022, Cannonball Festival will take place at both the Maas Building and the Icebox Project Space in Philadelphia. This artist-produced festival will feature a cost-sharing buy-in model, in which independent artists can pay a flat fee for production services, marketing and space rental. The festival also offers opportunities for co-presentation, and at least three performance projects will be selected for the BIPOC New Work Presentation track, which offers additional marketing support and a $2,500 stipend for artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color. Applications will be accepted from March 1 — April 15.
