Teaching Artist
Brooklyn Arts Council
Term: Seasonal Part-Time
Compensation: $85/hour. The BAC Teaching Artist pay scale is based on experience and expertise. Teaching Artists are also paid for planning time, and BAC covers the cost of supplies.

Schools, Community Centers and Senior Centers in Brooklyn and NYC. Teaching Artists who work on-site are required to provide proof of vaccination, due to NYC and DOE regulations. Remote residencies will be available and offered to Teaching Artists, regardless of vaccination status. No artist will be penalized for declining in-person, on-site residencies. Applicants do not need to be a resident of Brooklyn but must be able to reliably travel to Brooklyn.

Project Manager
Games for Change
Term: Contract
Dates: Mid-October to end of March 2023
Hiring Contact: Michaela Ternasky-Holland
Currently looking to contract the role of Project Manager to help my team at Games for Change manage a few in-person VR activations and a museum exhibition with a VR component.
Ideally, this person is someone with experience in VR screenings (using Quest 2 headsets), fabrication, material procurement, budgets, timelines, and client management.
Role is paid and ideally the person has availability starting mid-October until end of March 2023. Ideally this person is based in NYC, but we are open to remote work as well.

CREATIVE EQUATIONS FUND
Deadline: October 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST
Grant Amount: Up to $10,000
An investment strategy dedicated to arts for social justice, supporting hyper-local, community-engaged artists, arts organizations, cultural entrepreneurs, and researchers who have dedicated their creativity to solving social problems. In 2022, the Creative Equations Fund provided $295,000 to 34 grantees.
BROOKLYN ARTS FUND
Deadline: October 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST
Grant Amount: $2,000 — $5,000
Brooklyn Arts Fund cultivates artists, arts organizations, and audiences through specific and engaging arts projects. In 2022, Brooklyn Arts Fund distributed more than half a million dollars to 154 projects across Brooklyn.
LOCAL ARTS SUPPORT
Deadline: October 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST
Grant Amount: $2,000 — $5,000
Designed with nonprofit organizations and artist-nonprofit partnerships in mind, Local Arts Support helps develop high-quality local arts projects and programs that focus on community engagement. In 2022, Local Arts Support distributed $110,000 to 27 projects across the borough.
CHARLENE VICTOR AND ELLA J. WEISS CULTURAL ENTREPRENEUR FUND
Deadline: October 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST
Grant Amount: $2,500
Honoring the legacy of Brooklyn Arts Council’s founder, Charlene Victor, and former president, Ella J. Weiss, the Cultural Entrepreneur Fund affords two woman-identifying Brooklyn artists with funds to pursue professional development opportunities.
