Big Rock Creative
Compensation & Benefits: Based on position/event
Accepting Resumes Now
Are you the type of person that enjoys working events more then attending them? Are you always at the entrance greeting people as they enter an event? Do you like being part of a team and organizing teams? Then this is for you.
Big Rock Creative, the producers of BRCvr (the award-winning virtual Burning Man experience), have several other events coming up in 2022. Some will have small teams and others will have massive teams. We are building a roster of energetic people who love welcoming and helping others during events. Event moderators, greeters, and event team leads. The work is across different XR platforms. We need people in ALL time zones. Organizational and leadership team skills are needed as well. You do not need to be an XR expert. We will train you. These are paid positions. Part-time on an event by event basis.
GRANTS
ONLINE
Black Immersive Creators Grant
Platform: Artizen
Compensation & Benefits: $10000 grant
Deadline: Feb 28, 2022
LINK
The Black Immersive Creators Grant is a new initiative founded by leaders in the experiential space. This is an annual grant in the amount of $10,000. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate the creation of immersive work by Black-identifying creators, which would otherwise not be created without the funding offered by this grant. This funding may be used either directly toward the creation of the immersive work(s) or indirectly by offsetting unrelated costs of the creator that would impair the freedom and comfort of practicing their creativity and art.
The recipients of this grant will be Black-identifying creators who demonstrate a passion for creating immersive work. Whether they have an existing portfolio or not, create only immersive work or create this art in addition to other work and life priorities, our hope is that this grant will aid the cultivation and growth of inspired immersive art by Black creators to broaden and encourage diversity in the industry.

This is an international open call to dancers, dance companies, and creative technologists to remotely take part in a six-month creative ‘virtual’ residency programme in 2022 — based at Goldsmiths, University of London. We will offer a connector programme using a modest bursary structure, to bring together dance groups and digital creatives from diverse international backgrounds for a prolonged period of remote collaborative digital dance work.
We will provide residency projects with a motion capture system (2 x Perception Neuron v3 suits worth $5000- that they can keep), creative asset starter toolkits ( for Unity and Unreal), and a creation/development budget of £4500 (£750 per month, or around $6000). Through workshops, training and mentorship, we will facilitate the development of collaborative, digital work on the creators’ own terms, using these tools.
