Audiences will step into Frankenstein and Mary Shelley’s eccentric world of monsters, poets, and madmen. Mary Shelley’s contemporary, the radical romantic poet Lord Byron, is throwing a New Year’s Eve party. But as the clock nears midnight, Mary’s nightmares start to take over. The characters she imagined for herself become real. They haunt the lively party, enlisting guests in their machinations and unsettling the author. Artistic Director Nichole Palmietto describes this experience as “part party, part theatrical show.” General access to the event includes a real-life champagne toast at midnight as well as light bites throughout the evening and access to the Highland Ballroom full bar.
Like New York’s acclaimed Sleep No More, Frankenstein’s Ball is a unique journey with original music, dance, and interactive private moments with the characters.
